* TWO WINDOWS FOR STRONG TO SEVERE STORMS *
THREAT TIME: MONDAY 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM ![]()
The radar already shows some isolated showers with an embedded rumble or two that will pass through within the next hour or so, however this activity is highly unlikely to be strong. The threat for damaging winds, hail, and even an isolated tornado is maximized during two windows later today. The first is roughly 2 - 4 PM today, though there is a chance most of this initial batch to skirt by to our NW. Nevertheless, even if this first cluster fails to produce, the second round with the cold front itself also has ingredients in play to be robust after 4 or 5 PM into sunset. While there remains some uncertainty to which time window ends up actually producing damage, there remains above average confidence for at least scattered to numerous wind damage. Activity tapers down and largely ends by 8 PM with a much quieter and less humid Tuesday ahead.
