New “Destructive” Severe Thunderstorm Warning category to trigger Wireless Emergency Alerts on mobile phones

The National Weather Service will begin to initiate new Threat Categories of “Destructive” and “Considerable” Damage Threats for Severe Thunderstorm Warnings that trigger Wireless Emergency Alerts on Mobile Phones.
