The National Weather Service will begin to initiate new Threat Categories of “Destructive” and “Considerable” Damage Threats for Severe Thunderstorm Warnings that trigger Wireless Emergency Alerts on Mobile Phones. Extreme Cold Warning issued February 6 at 1:34AM EST until February 8 at 10:00AM EST by NWS Mount Holly NJ
* WHAT...For the Wind Advisory, northwest winds 15 to 25 mph with
gusts up to 50 mph expected. For the Extreme Cold Warning,
dangerously cold wind chills as low as 21 below expected.![]()
* WHERE...In New Jersey, Morris, Sussex, and Warren Counties. In
Pennsylvania, Berks, Lehigh, and Northampton Counties.![]()
* WHEN...For the Wind Advisory, from 8 AM to 9 PM EST Saturday. For
the Extreme Cold Warning, from 3 PM Saturday to 10 AM EST Sunday.![]()
* IMPACTS...Gusty winds will blow around unsecured objects. Tree
limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. The
dangerously cold wind chills as low as 20 below zero could cause
frostbite on exposed skin in as little as 30 minutes.
Winds this strong can make driving difficult, especially for high
profile vehicles. Use extra caution.![]()
Dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves if you must
go outside.

Winter Storm Warning issued January 23 at 12:38PM EST until January 26 at 1:00PM EST by NWS Mount Holly NJ
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Total snow accumulations between 12
and 18 inches and ice accumulations around a light glaze.![]()
* WHERE...Portions of northern New Jersey and southeast Pennsylvania.![]()
* WHEN...From 1 AM Sunday to 1 PM EST Monday.![]()
* IMPACTS...The strong winds and weight of snow on tree limbs may
down power lines and could cause sporadic power outages. Travel
could be very difficult to impossible. The hazardous conditions
could impact the Monday morning commute.
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in
your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions for
