* WHERE...A portion of northern New Jersey, including the following
counties, Morris, Sussex and Warren.![]()
* WHEN...Until 800 AM EDT.![]()
* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring.![]()
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 359 AM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain. Flooding
is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the warned area.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches are possible in
the warned area.
- Some locations that may experience flooding include...
Morristown, Newton, Montague, Dover, Hopatcong, Hackettstown,
Wharton, Rockaway, Mount Arlington, Franklin, Mendham and
Stanhope.

Turn around...don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most

* At 511 PM EDT, a severe thunderstorm capable of producing a tornado
was located over Crandon Lakes, or 8 miles northwest of Newton,
moving north at 25 mph.![]()
HAZARD...Tornado and quarter size hail.![]()
SOURCE...Radar indicated rotation.![]()
IMPACT...Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without
shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed.
Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree
damage is likely.![]()

TAKE COVER NOW! Move to a basement or an interior room on the lowest
